When things get a little Rocky…

Don’t give up,

Get back up, and brush off the baggage that you have been piling up.

Every moment in a day, a week, a month, an hour is a time to begin

It’s not about starting over its about moving forward

To dwell on things of the past, things completed and things that are not in your control…

well quite frankly aren’t worth any time in your little minds

To fret, to stress, to worry that you’ve either made the biggest mistake of your life, or even think how you could’ve done better….

Only gets you more down, and it’s like crawling on the ground counting the grains of sand that have no purpose for you.

Is it good to reflect? To move to somewhere healthy or positive?

YES!!!

At first if you need to jump, jump into arms of someone you can trust

If there’s no light near, use caution, jumping might mean setting yourself up for failure again

A fall could make or break you.

It’s not a break if you get back up

Each time you choose to do what you know is good, or keep on getting back up …. The STRONGER SMARTER and better person you will become

To know the good days, you also must know that bad.

Or else… what makes a good day good?

Take a breath, a look around and seek out light, comfort and truth

I don’t know if it’s about the race, or the journey or just the lessons we learn and what we choose to do with them.

I can’t help but think of it like training, you must have

endurance: to make it to the end

speed: to run past your struggles and negative in this world

power: overcome your deamons

strength: when the time comes to hold yourself up and someone else….

And not every time will you make it… but keep training

Keep trying

Keep moving

And catch your breath when you’re tired… because there’s someone there to help you on the way

Starting To See Light Again…

lightsIn the same week, I had a huge attitude adjustment….

I had a huge pile of awesome land on my lap.

Although I wasn’t outright upset or angry, it was hard knowing that I had

no.1: No Job… or prospects for anything turning up.

no.2: No one available to help my with setting up counselor or headaches, or health in general ( A WHOLE other topic)

Then BLAMO

Without any force, or huge extension of major effort or struggle it was as if a gift given came to me.

Started Friday, and interview and a simple clothing store that offered me a part-time position with minimum wages, but as a safe, simple job. YAY!

Then Friday afternoon, had a specialist phone about setting up a counselor, and talked with me for over an HOUR, about life, advice, and consolation that things will get better.

Never had I ever had such a great talk with a professional, of any sorts, that genuinely wanted to help. Felt so relieved and enjoyed the entire experience.

Ahhhhh felt hope.

Then, the biggest surprise of them all!

I was approached by the owner of the gym I regularly attend, and he asked little bit about why I come to the gym.

Of course I blabbed about how much it changed my life and how it’s great thing everyone should do… etc etc etc.

Anyone with Passion about wellness would understand.

He smiled and said, “I thought so..”

He then asked me what I’ve been up to, and if I had a job.

I told him about my current situation, how I came back to my hometown…

He said, “Would you ever consider training?”

A huge grin crossed my face and he knew my answer.

He then said, ” Well, what would you think about coming in this week and I’ll show you around, I have papers you can fill out and we can start as soon as you want. You can take this as far as you want, and the staff here will certify you and help you build a clientele, all the while you can help out and get paid to run the gym.”

Mouth dropped to my feet, smile in my eyes and instant thought, “Impossible, impossible… so great.”

That was my no.3

My No.4 was the selling of my old winter tires to get money to buy groceries and have gas money to do errands in town and for Christmas.

Sometimes, it’s almost as if you need an attitude adjustment, before you can move on to better things so that you appreciate them more, and will have way more jeart into them.

Not for selfish desires but a knowing that it was a gift you will not forget.

I do feel I am finally seeing some light again.

Until this point it was just a knowing that there would be light, and I couldn’t lay down in darkness waiting for it to come to me, I had to keep pushing and not give up.

THE BEST PART!!!

This is the beginning,

i am just seeing a glimpse of this,

and it’s been a short time already

I’ve Learned…

I’ve learned…

that doing the right thing is not always the easy thing

waiting for results, is TIME… Doesn’t happen over night

a hug is to pain, and a band-aid is to a cut

good intentions mean that another person failed to understand or see the reason behind your actions

that it’s not a matter of IF but WHEN you hurt someone you love

to know great pain, is to know great love

to never presume the good OR bad

true friends want the best for you, not for themselves

there’s a fine line between being generous and being taken advantage of

It’s not about winning, it’s about saying you tried

letting go is not as bad as holding onto something that shouldn’t be

when you think you are in control of life… is when life’s in control of you

moderation,  is one of the most important, single word to live by

that happiness is not based on any part of a materialistic world

a genuine smile is the best thing you can wear

that the admittance of struggles is a sign of strength

the more I learn, the less intelligent I feel

A Recipe

This is my recipe to maintain a sound body, and sound mind

Most of the time… 🙂

It is a lot of things, and sometimes I don’t need to do it all,

but if I want to keep my mind and body in the right place, well I thought I would share this.

First of all, everything in somewhat moderation, but that is different for everyone I suppose.

I am avoid junk/processed food say..85% of the time

The other 15% is called PMS fools. Deal with it

Eat what I would say a balanced diet, avoiding gluten, sugars, simple sugars and having plently of EGGS and veggies

Limit coffee to a cup a day, and try only 5 days a week

Supplements?

Lots, but the main ones are OMEGA 3, FULL spectrum amino acids, Vitamin D, MCT Oil, and digestive enzyme.

No big deal

I get my 7-10 hours of sleep.

Take Melatonin to ensure I sleep like a boss

I inject B12 in my leg for stress, and increase in energy once a week

( I do not advise this unless you’ve seeked a medical professional)

EXCERSIZE! Change it up, absolutely once a week no questions asked, BUT

usually 4-5 times a week workout

Music, yes! music, lots of it

And I like the stuff no one else listens to…. so not the radio is what I’m saying, BUT sometimes I like some mainstream tunes too.

this gets me in the ZONE!

Photog time.

Photography is that hobby that gets me out of the house and brings out my creative side.

Well this is  the bulk of it. There are many little things I do, but I must say one thing, it’s not that I”m crazy, it’s just a lifestyle I do to live a full and enjoyable life

YES YES, I eat chocolate, and laze around and watch tv sometimes, but that is not my lifestyle

Get it?

Love Life?

What would happen if we all just saw the negative in the world?

What if the down right dirty, and wrong things that happen were all we could think of?

What if all we could see is the good?

Then we would forget the lessons we learnt in the bad.

I think it’s time to embrace both, and that’s what is called life.

The good, the bad, the ugly… and heck the frickin’ awesome!

Taking a photo can be a reminder of those things.

It could be a sunset, a flawless face, or even the grungy alley of a city.

And to take something unpleasant, and make it appealing to the eye, is also a great thing.
If the world were a perfect place, photography wouldn’t be as moving as it is, because there would be nothing to compare it to.

‘Tis The Season Folks

Today I was thinking… OH SNAP, Christmas is just a few days away! Really? It has kind of creeped up this year. And let me tell you, it’s weird.

Probably cause it’s the first year I will not be with my family. I’ve been trying to come up with things to do to make Christmas special, and I kind of suck at it!! But for me, it has a lot to do with the sounds, smells, and overall CHILLness about it.

SO this is a little bit of what I will make sure I have and do!

1) Advent Calandars (thanks mom….. And a little bit’o chocolate a day, can’t go wrong!)

2) Christmas Lights, inside da house. Just love ’em. The white ones that is. The color ones, they’re cool too

3) Mandarine Oranges. Yup. They’re awesome. And who doesn’t think of Christmas as they peel back that cutesy little orange?

4) Scented Candles like pine, cinnamon, spiced pumpkin and what not. Mmmmmmm the SMELLLL of Christmas (if you are too lazy like me to bake… and get fat off the baking…)

5) Chocolate Oranges (To gain weight off something…) And to hit people over the head with to crack!!! sO MUCH fun.

6) Gingerbread house. The house that looks so good to eat, but tastes like nasty things. PS: make sure you get the pre-made gingerbread, cause the homemade stuff is wayyyyy to complicated

7) Christmas Music!! Duh. Something like this mix http://8tracks.com/jotterbook/merry-x-mush

Other than that, make sure you send out cards to the people you care about, and want to make sure you say what you wanted to say all year, but didn’t

And if I had it my way, I’d be able to see all my family and friends, and catch up, and sip on eggnog and hit everyone on the head with a chocolate orange. Then stay up all night, making snow angels and mutant snowmen.

Well… can’t have everything.

SO Merry Christmas ya’ll!
